Dr Carole Lamond, anaesthetist at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, will teach this class on what to expect from anaesthesia in obstetrics. This class is appropriate for anyone planning on using anaesthesia for their delivery or would simply like more information on the topic. The class will include education on:

• Pain relief in labour, including epidurals

• Anaesthesia for Caesarians Sections, including: The difference between Spinals, Epidurals and Generals

• Anaesthesia for other obstetrics, such as perineal repair and instrumental deliveries

• Complications of Anaesthetics
